About Manuscript Writing Hub (MWH)

Establishment

The Manuscript Writing Hub (MWH) emerged organically from the teaching and mentor‑ship activities of its initiators, Bola and Mo, who had been informally guiding early‑career researchers in manuscript preparation. Over time, these activities grew into a structured platform, culminating in the formation of the first dedicated WhatsApp group in March 2023.

Founding

MWH was founded as a visionary response to this gap, with a focus on empowering African researchers to publish impactful, high‑quality manuscripts that can shape science and policy locally and globally.

Our Vision

To be the daily companion of African scientists in their journey to build research and publishing capacity.

Our Mission

To equip African scientists with the skills, tools, and resources they need to produce quality manuscripts and contribute meaningfully to global scientific knowledge.

Our Activities

Since its creation, MWH has been actively engaging the research community through꞉

  • Interactive Zoom classes on manuscript writing and publishing.
  • Educational blog posts sharing practical strategies and best practices.
  • YouTube tutorials that provide step‑by‑step guidance.
  • Peer‑support platforms that foster mentorship, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
